Smartphones make it so easy to snap a quick picture and upload it to your social media or website, or use it in your marketing materials at a later date.
But have you ever thought about whether the quality of your pictures sends out the right positive message to your potential customers? Or wished you knew how to take better images? Or how to edit the ones you have?
This practical, fun and interactive workshop for those involved in the tourism industry, looks at how to compose and enhance photos using your Smartphone or iPhone. Including how to bring your subject to life and create a better positive online image for your business.
You’ll spend time exploring and taking pictures on location at the National Botanic Garden of Wales, and then you’ll also learn how to use apps to edit your images. It’s a day packed with simple tip tips & tricks to take your smartphone photography to the next level.
We’ll show you how to transform your photos with good composition and positioning of your subject, and how to use lead-in lines and framing. You'll learn how to use light to create beautiful images, how to crop them into even better compositions and apps to improve brightness, colour and contrast, apply artistic filters and create amazing collages.
Our trainer for the day is Buffoon Film & Media.
Buffoon Film and Media is a media production company based in Port Talbot. They specialise in producing videos and images for businesses across the UK to be used online and in print. They understand the importance of having good quality images and we'll teach you how to get the most from your smartphone to impress potential customers or clients.

This workshop is part of the South West Wales Regional Tourism Skills programme run by the South West Wales Tourism Associations (Carmarthenshire Tourism Association, Pembrokeshire Tourism and Tourism Swansea Bay.)
Members of all three Associations can attend this workshop at a special discounted rate of £25 per person.
