Your business could cut costs and save money by becoming more sustainable - and this workshop aims to show you how.
This session will help you identify environmental improvement and cost saving opportunities in your business - and provide you with the knowledge to achieve your greening and saving goals.
A recent Visit England survey found 59% of visitors felt that a tourism business having green credentials had a positive impact on their likelihood to choose them. And, that 79% of tourism businesses had cut their costs following the implementation of sustainable business practices. With this in mind, you have nothing to lose and plenty to gain by improving your sustainability.
The workshop will cover:-
* Energy, water and waste management,
* Building improvements & raw materials
* Funding opportunities and tax incentives
All of these are designed to assist your business in becoming more sustainable. During the workshop you will develop an Environmental Policy and Impacts & Costs monitoring sheet and Improvement Plan for the next 12 months to drive forward with greening your business and count the savings you make. (You will take these completed documents away with you).
This workshop will be held at Totally Sustainable - an independent energy hub which showcases green building practices and alternative sustainable technologies. Their location at the old school house in Pencader has been carefully renovated and is now one of Wales’ most sustainable properties. It boasts integrity, honesty and is a real living example of how sustainable technologies can save you energy and be good for your finances.
This workshop will be led by Gareth Davies, Resource and Efficiency Advisor for Business Wales.
