AUTUMN 2010 PROGRAMME
Carmarthenshire Tourist Association and Gallu have put together a fantastic schedule of events for the county's tourism, hospitality and leisure industries this Autumn.
Ranging from seminars, training workshops, familiarisation visits, sector meetings and social events - there's guaranteed to be many opportunities included in the programme that will be of interest to you - and most importantly -be beneficial to your business.
SEPTEMBER
"Gardens & Gallops Day" (12 September)
Join us for a day of 'fancy flowers and photo finishes at the National Botanic Garden of Wales and Ffos Las Racecourse!

Llanelli Coastal Tour (21 September)
One of the many 'trade day visits' organised by Gallu to help businesses to learn more about the tourism offering of the county. This guided coach tour will take in the coastal area of Llanelli - including the National Wetlands Centre, Millennium Coastal Park, Merlin Cycle Tours, Pembrey Country Park and Go Ape! (new for 2010). Also with a lunch stop at the Ashburnham Hotel.

Marketing Mix Roadshow (28 September)
Held at the LC Swansea - this event organised by Tourism Swansea Bay invites tourism and hospitality business from across South West Wales for a day of marketing advice, presentations and networking.

Selling your Business Successfully Workshop (30 September)
A course organised by Gallu and held at the Halfway, Nantgaredig. This day's workshop will help you to write an effective description which you can take away and use to sell your business in various marketing activities, such as in brochure adverts and website features.

OCTOBER
Through the Keyhole - Caravanning & Camping (5 October)
Following on from the success of the organised tours of hotels and holiday cottages earlier in 2010, this day provides the opportunity to visit four caravanning and camping businesses in the county of varying sizes and grading. It aims to provide an insight into the grading scheme and how it works with this sector and to share best practise amongst those owners and managers of businesses in this sector.

First Aid Training (14 October)
It's vital when running a business that a person is trained to deal with the rare and unfortunate occasions where someone requires first aid assistance. Attend this highly subsidised full day course, held at the Plough Inn, Rhosmaen and be more prepared to help in such situations and also receive a recognised qualification (valid for 3 years).

Part of the 'Carmarthenshire...on your Doorstep All the Year Round' campaign, this is an afternoon's seminar focussing on attracting customers to Carmarthenshire and to your business all year round. More information coming soon.
Attracting Customers throughout the Year Workshop (18 October)
Organised as a follow up to the Beating Seasonality Seminar, this course will help you to learn and get marketing ideas to get customers throughout the year.
