innogy is currently building Brechfa Forest West Wind Farm. In Spring 2018, once the wind farm is fully operational, a community fund of £459,200 per year will be made available. Wind farm funds are often used to support local projects and can make a real difference to the communities that neighbour the site. As the total fund at Brechfa is so large (over £11million over the lifetime of the wind farm), it also has the potential to benefit the wider region.
Carmarthenshire Tourism Association represents the tourism and the visitor economy sector on the Investment Fund Advisory Group, and ensures that the our industry is seen as an important part of this process – with huge potential benefits from this fund for further developing leisure and tourism in the area.

Consultation is currently being undertaken by innogy on a couple of different levels – with feedback being requested by 15th December:
- Community Investment Fund: innogy is seeking views on plans for the community investment fund and of particular interest, is to hear from the communities living closest to the site (6km radius from the site – view map of local area of benefit).
- Regional Investment Fund: Because the fund available is so large, a Regional fund will also be available to benefit the wider areas surrounding the site. Views are also being requested to help shape this fund.

"It's very difficult to find out how our visitors find us on the internet. However, when I analyse my statistics with my hosting company, I find Visit Carmarthenshire in the top 10 of referrals. In a Google search it comes on the top page if you use key words like "Bed and Breakfast in Carmarthen". It's important to have another platform where our business can be found online and it really does work for us!"
"The one to one sessions on improving my website were really valuable. Paul Knows what's what and how I am thinking or struggling immediately! I value his input."
"We really enjoyed the Gold award winner visits. They've given us some great ideas and some real practical help. Strangely, one of the most useful things from the visits is that it's saved us a lot of time researching things that wouldn't be practical for us to try at the mill."
