New CTA Directors Announced...

Monday 19th of March 2018 14:37

The Carmarthenshire Tourism Association is run by a board of directors elected by their fellow members. All Directors volunteer their time and efforts to the Association, and are a great support to the busy office team.

Members of the Association were recently invited to vote in our Director Election.  They were encouraged to elect those that candidates they felt would be best able to represent their needs as tourism and hospitality businesses in the county, and have the drive and commitment  to make a real difference to the the Association and tourism industry in Carmarthenshire.
The votes have been counted, and we're delighted to announce the results:

Re-elected to the Board are:
  • Gwawr Davies - Llety Cynin
  • Caroline Evans - St David's Diocese Tourism Group
  • Peter Rees - Erwlon Caravan & Camping Park
  • George Reid - Glangwili Mansion

Joining the Board for the first time are:
  • Sharon Adams - The Corran Resort & Spa
  • David Beaney - The Mansion House Llansteffan
  • Hywel Davies - South Wales Caravan Park, Llanelli
  • Emyr Price - The Tin Shed Experience
  • Sharon Richards - Fferm Alltyfyrddin Farm Guest House and The Merlin's Hill Centre

A warm welcome to our new and re-elected Directors, who join Nia Ball (CTA Chief Executive), Nick Brunger (The Spooky Magic Company), Mary-Ann Nossent (Pen y Garn Cottage), Colin Rouse (Allt y Golau Farmhouse), and David Storer (Ffynnon Rhosfa Farm) to form the Board of Directors.
All Directors bring a variety of skills and experience to their roles that we're confident will further strengthen and enhance the work of the Board, and to help drive the Association and tourism forward successfully and sustainably into the future.
Thank you / Diolch. We also express our thanks to David Edwards (Heart of Wales Line) who, at to the end of his three-year term, stepped down from his role as a Director.
