Standing out from your competitors is no easy task but is an essential part of running a successful and profitable business. In this seminar, our headline guest speaker - Glamping and eco-tourism expert, Kate Morel - will share her insight into how to make your business stand out from the crowd and gain a competitive edge. She'll also be sharing some inside industry thoughts and fears from the glamping, hotel, and holiday cottage markets, and how we can push through them to maintain healthy businesses.
Kate is an industry specialist, writer and experienced speaker having regularly headlined at various tourism and glamping events across the UK and further afield. She's shared her expertise from Australia to Ecuador - but this is her first time in Wales - and we’re delighted to have her as part of our 2018 Carmarthenshire Tourism Summit. Whilst most well-known for her glamping expertise, Kate also has extensive experience in eco-tourism, self-catering and the serviced accommodation sectors – ensuring that her seminar has something to offer to all. 10am - 3pm: Network and Natter
Our informal Networking Zone is an area dedicated to helping you to get to know other tourism providers in the county during the day. We know that running your own business is extremely rewarding - but we also know that it can mean that you're too busy to get out and about and meet others.
Events like the Summit are a fantastic way to make links with others running similar businesses - but we appreciate that it's not always easy to approach new people. That's why we've created our new Networking Zone. This will be an informal area where you'll be encouraged to grab a free cuppa from Welsh Brew Tea and have a chat with someone new at any time.
This is where you'll find our ever popular 'Leaflet Swap' table - a place to leave some of your business promotional material and pick up information on other tourism businesses in the area.
