The Carmarthenshire Tourism Association (CTA) is a non-profit organisation founded in 1996 with the primary objective of supporting and developing tourism in Carmarthenshire, South West Wales.

​

With members from various businesses involved in the county's visitor economy, the CTA provides essential business support to the local tourism and hospitality trade. Led by a team of voluntary directors, the CTA's core mission is to engage, communicate, and support the tourism industry at grassroots level, making it the sole county-wide tourism association for Carmarthenshire.

 

As a membership organisation, the CTA offers exclusive benefits and services to its members, striving to strengthen and promote the region's tourism sector.

Sioned Banister CTA Director

Dolbryn Caravan and Campsite

Sector: Caravan/Camping

Sioned is the current Chair of CTA. She is owner and manager of the family-run Dolbryn Caravan and Campsite in Newcastle Emlyn. Together with her family, she has built the campsite into a successful business offering a peaceful haven for families and groups to holiday and experience the best that Carmarthenshire has to offer.

Alltyfyrddin Farm Guest House

Sector: Serviced Accommodation

Sharon is CTA's Treasurer. She runs Alltyfyrddin Farm Guest House and Merlin's Hill Centre at Abergwili, Carmarthen. She is passionate about providing a first-class visitor experience for her guests and loves sharing her knowledge of the on-site Iron Age hill fort on site that is believed to be the legendary resting place of Merlin, King Arthur's magician.

George owns and runs Glangwili Mansion - a luxury 5* B&B near Carmarthen. He has been on the Board of Directors for CTA for more than 10 years and, through his links with other sector organisations, he continues to actively advocate for the interests of CTA members.

Coastal Foraging

Sector: Activities / Attractions

Craig is a renowned forager who shares his passion for sustainable and ethical foraging through his successful professional courses. He has successfully built up his business over many years and has attracted the attention of TV producers and has subsequently featured on programmes such as Channel 4's Best of Britain by the Sea and the BBC's Great Coastal Railway Journeys.
